Swapnil Joshi

Schooling : Graduation in commerce from Sydenham College (University of Mumbai)

He started his TV career at the age of nine, when Ramanand Sagar offered him the role of young Krishna  in the mythological TV series, Uttar Ramayana (1986), a sequel to Ramayana. Ramanand Sagar was to later give him another role, a lead this time, in mythological TV series, Krishna (1993). There after Swapnil took a break from acting to complete his studies and after finishing college, he made a comeback with Sanjeev Bhattacharya’s Campus.

Currently he is a judge in the popular show Fu Bai Fu, on Zee Marathi channel. He also is the lead role in TV comedy series Papad Pol – Shahabuddin Rathod Ki Rangeen Duniya (2010) on SAB TV.

He was married to Juhi, who is a dentist by profession.  Theirs was a love marriage and they tied the knot in January 2005. Divorced in 2009.

Melissa Pais aka Preeti in Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo

Melissa was born in Goa and raised in Mumbai. She studied in St Louis Convent High School, Mumbai and completed her graduation from Walia College (Cosmopolitan), Mumbai. She has a sister Melanie Pais  who is also working in television serials. Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal Gada in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

Age : 40 years

Origin : Mumbai, Maharashtra

Award won : Best Actor in comedy role at the 9th Indian Telly Awards

Joshi has appeared in several Gujarati dramas, one of them being with Sumeet Raghavan and Amit Mistry, the trio known for their television serial Shubh Mangal Savadhan.

He plays the role of Jethalal Gada in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Notable among his tele-serials in Hindi are Kabhi Yeh Kabhi Woh, Hum Sub Ek Hain, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, Yeh Duniya Hai Rangeen, Meri Biwi Wonderful and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He appeared in the children’s comedy serial Agadam Bagdam Tigdam as Uncle Tappu as well as the 2009 films Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge and What’s Your Raashee?.
